YP℠ Unveils a Personalized mybook® Experience


YP, the champion for more than 70 million monthly action-takers connecting to local businesses, is giving consumers a new digital experience to help them stay productive and do more.1 Today, we’re announcing exciting new updates to mybook, a YP product feature that gives people a better way to organize their favorite local business contacts in one convenient place. Mybook now has the ability to create custom collections made up of business listings tailored to their personal interests or special projects. People can also upload their own photos as cover images and create names and descriptions of their choosing to make their custom collections feel like their own. Mybook is available at YP.com and via the newly updated and top-rated YP? app, which also comes preloaded on all AT&T® Android™ phones.

  3. Chain Listings – quickly find nearby chain stores and restaurants saved to mybook
  4. Easy Sharing – share individual business contacts saved in mybook with friends and family

Mybook is the ultimate tool for making the most of YP’s over 20 million local business listings. For example, to plan a 24-hour visit to San Francisco, create a custom collection called, “The Perfect Day in San Francisco.” Tag must-do destinations – like Alcatraz Island, Golden Gate Bridge, and The Original Ghiradelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop – to ensure important contact information for each sight is within easy reach, or plan meals by browsing menus or making a dinner reservation at one of the city’s culinary hot spots – all from within mybook. Even personalize it with a picturesque shot of a cable car and add notes to each listing to make sure no detail is missed.

All of these great features are available via the newly updated YP app (v4.2.0) for Android (accessed directly from Google searches on mobile devices) and iOS (featured as a Best New App in the iTunes App Store Travel category).
