YP℠ Teams Up with American Cancer Society to Support Relay For Life
YP, a leading local marketing solutions provider, announced today a new corporate initiative to partner with the American Cancer Society to support the Society’s Relay For Life®. Relay For Life is the largest annual not-for-profit fundraising event in the world, taking place in more than 5,200 communities and 20 countries.
With offices in 35 states and nearly 6,000 employees nationwide, YP will help organize team member, customer and consumer participation in Relay For Life events as part of a powerful fundraising campaign.
Additionally, YP has launched a mobile download campaign to further activate this major initiative, which will be promoted online and via social media. Starting today and through June 30, YP will contribute $1 to the Society each time someone downloads the free YP℠ mobile app via http://ypfightscancer.com**. Donations associated with these efforts will help fund cancer research, patient services and education about prevention and early detection.
YP’s partnership with the American Cancer Society is being driven by “YP Cares,” YP’s growing corporate community, wellness and giving program. YP Cares is the heart of the YP culture in action and as the company’s charitable, volunteer, in-kind giving and disaster relief umbrella, focusing on the themes of community, wellness and environment. YP Cares strives to create opportunities that empower team members to make a difference in their own lives and the world around them.
