YP℠ Integration of TripAdvisor Content Makes it Easier for Consumers to Compare Local Leisure Destinations
YP Travel and Leisure Categories now include TripAdvisor Photos, Ratings and Reviews
Los Angeles – June 6, 2016 – YPSM, the go-to local search destination for nearly 60 million* people across the U.S., today announced a new integration of content from travel planning and booking site TripAdvisor®, to give consumers additional user-generated reviews, ratings and information when they’re searching for the perfect leisure businesses.
Search results for nearly 850,000 of the hotel, restaurant and local attraction listings available on the yp.com site and mobile app now include TripAdvisor’s overall rating and five most-recent user reviews and photos, in addition to the YP user reviews and star ratings.
“Searches have come to rely on trusted reviews from their community to make decisions about things like what hotel to book or what restaurants to try,” said Stu MacFarlane, Executive Vice President, Consumer Platforms at YP. “These added reviews will make it easier for YP users to get that information in one place and to make the best decision more quickly.”
The addition of TripAdvisor content is the latest in a series of enhancements to the YP consumer properties, including integrations with leading providers such as the Better Business Bureau (BBB), Groupon, Uber, and Fandango, among others. Each new addition has made it easier for consumers to compare, choose, visit and transact with local businesses – without having to leave the YP search experience.
